If skincare has ever felt like a 12-step science project, you’re not alone. The good news? You don’t need a shelf full of products to get results — you just need the right basics, in the right order.
Here’s the friendly, no-fuss routine we recommend at AÉTHER — built around three everyday essentials: a gentle cleanser, a hydrating serum, and a brightening cream.
The 3-step routine (AM + PM)
Step 1: Cleanse (Gentle Cleanser)
Cleansing is the reset button. It removes sunscreen, makeup, sweat, and the day’s grime so the rest of your routine can actually do its job.
AM: cleanse if you wake up oily/sweaty — otherwise a quick rinse can be enough.
PM: always cleanse to remove the day (especially SPF).
Step 2: Treat (Hydrating Serum)
Serum is where you target a goal — and hydration is the goal almost everyone benefits from. Hydrated skin looks plumper, feels calmer, and tends to behave better under makeup too.
Apply to slightly damp skin for best results.
Use 1–2 pumps (or a pea-sized amount) — more isn’t always better.
Step 3: Moisturise (Brightening Cream)
Moisturiser is the ‘seal the deal’ step. It locks in hydration and supports your skin barrier — your skin’s protective shield.
Morning routine? Finish with SPF. Brightening products + sunshine without SPF is like cleaning your house and leaving all the windows open in a storm.
Quick FAQs
How long should I wait between steps? About 30–60 seconds — once it feels absorbed and not slippery.
What if my skin is sensitive? Keep it simple for 2 weeks first. Consistency beats complexity every time.
Your next step
